Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer…The warning sign is a change in skin appearance, a new growth, or a non-healing sore.

The most common forms of skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Basal cell is much less aggressive and can be treated as such. Squamous cell cancers can sometimes spread to other parts of the body.

Common causes are :

1. Sun exposure
2. age
3. tanning booths
4. radiation treatments for other cancers.

Treatment if usually excision and reconstruction with local tissue. Mohs surgery is supposedly the more accurate method, but the resulting defect requires repair by a talented facial plastic surgeon, such as
Towerent surgeon Dr. Nicholas Schenck, who has a 10 year experience at the Mohs surgery Clinic at Scripps Clinic La Jolla California reconstructing simple and serious defects left after Mohs treatment of skin cancers.

EARLY BIOPSY and TREATMENT are the key!
